About the Program

Promoting Collaborations Between Global Experts

The Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program was founded in 2005 at Northwestern University’s Buffett Institute for Global Affairs.

The Program promotes intellectual dialogue and scholarship to provide a deeper, interdisciplinary, and critical understanding of contemporary Turkey in connection with global social processes, problems or conflicts.

The Program hosts visiting professors, visiting scholars and postdoctoral fellows; collaborates with a faculty board and faculty and student affiliates; and works closely with partner programs, and connects with global scholars in a variety of disciplines.
