Apply for a Keyman Grant
We have some exciting news to share regarding funding for travel for research and conference participation between now and August 31, 2026 for Northwestern graduate students who do work related to Ottoman and post-Ottoman Turkey and its diasporas.
The Keyman Program can offer conference support grants up to $500 and research support grants up to $3,000.
Where applicable, research grants may be used for expenses such as purchase of books and library/archive access fees as well as travel; and conference grants may be used for registration fees for online events in addition to travel.

- A description of the program you are applying to.
- The amount of funding you are seeking.
- Whether or not you have any funding from other sources.
- If applying for a conference, your acceptance letter

Deadline:
- Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis until the end of spring quarter. Travel should be completed by August 31, 2026.
