Early-Career Scholars Article Workshop Spring 2026
The Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program at Northwestern University’s Buffett Institute of Global Affairs continues its series of virtual workshops to support early career scholars preparing an article for publication by a peer-reviewed journal. We invite applications from junior scholars working in all branches of the Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities on themes related to Turkey and its diasporas. The accepted papers will be read by an expert who will provide comments and suggestions for revisions at a virtual discussion forum organized by the Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program. We will try to accommodate the scholars’ choice of commentator, and group the participants in pairs when possible. Scholars will be asked to submit their completed articles to their readers two weeks before the scheduled workshop date. Please note that incomplete or “rough” drafts will not be accepted; while the purpose of the workshop is to provide you with pre-submission feedback, your paper should be as close as possible to the version you would be submitting to a peer-reviewed journal.
+Application Deadline: February 20, 2026
+Application Details & Form: The sessions will begin in March 2026 and continue through June 2026. Workshops that cannot be scheduled within this time frame may be deferred to Fall 2026.
To be considered for this round, submit your application, including a CV and 700-word abstract of your article by February 20, 2026 through the Application Form.
