Funding for Research and Conference Participation for Northwestern Graduate Students
We have some exciting news to share regarding funding for research and conference participation for Northwestern graduate students who do work related to Turkey.
The Keyman Program can offer conference support grants up to $1,000 and research support grants up to $2,000.
Students can apply for both, but please note that the maximum combined amount for the 2022-23 academic year is $2,500. Where applicable, research grants may be used for expenses such as purchase of books and library/archive access fees as well as travel; and conference grants may be used for registration fees for online events in addition to travel.
To apply please send the information listed below to turkishstudies@northwestern.edu :
- A description of your project and how you would like to use the funds (max. 300 words)
- If applying for a conference, your acceptance letter
- A message of endorsement from your academic advisor to İpek Kocaömer Yosmaoğlu,
i-yosmaoglu@northwestern.edu
Deadlines:
- Summer travel: April 10, 2023
- Conference travel: May 15, 2023
Please note applications for conference travel will be accepted on a rolling basis
