Help the Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria
Dear Northwestern community and friends,
Both Turkey and Syria are suffering from the devastating earthquake. Both countries need your help urgently. They are still searching for survivors in near-freezing temperatures, and many are left homeless! Please donate to the following organizations, and if you know any more, share them with us. Because of the political situation in Syria, sending aid there is more difficult than Turkey where civil society organizations and the international community were able to start operations almost immediately after the quake—even though they are stretched beyond their capacity and cannot access all communities in desperate need. As we repeat our appeal for donations to help these efforts in Turkey, we also wanted to bring to your attention some organizations that can channel your support to Syria. The combined list is below:
